The Will of God

Ephesians 1:11 – All happen according to the will of God.

Humans cloud the understanding of this meaning.

1. God's Desire and God Decides

• “I want it and I will make sure it happens” (Revelation 4:11)

• God did not will Adam and Eve to sin, God's purposeful acts was to bring human redemption. (Revelation 4:11, Acts 2:23, Ephesians 3:9-11)

2. Gods Desire and Man's Decision

• God's will means, God wants it, God communicates with us His will and man chooses whether to do what God desires (2 Peter 3:9)

• Study the book to know the will of God! (Matthew 7:21)

3. Man's Decision and God's Permission

• God neither purposes or desires, so He grants man freedom to act.

God's permissive will:

• We do not always know Gods will (James 4:13-15)

• God chooses not to prevent something. (1 Corinthians 16:7)

• God chooses to allow us to do something.
